Device Technologies were fortunate enough to team up with one of our long term well known Principle Company’s Arthrex to deliver a truly unique and highly successful foot and ankle symposiums known as “Bigfoot”.

With 80 foot and ankle surgeons from all over Australia, New Zealand and South Africa attending this event at the Crown Promenade in Melbourne, this was clearly one of the biggest foot and ankle symposiums done in Australia to date.

The faculty selected to present and educate at the symposium included a very well known and well respected global pioneer in his field of foot and ankle surgery; Dr Michael Coughlin from the USA. The other members of the international faculty team included Dr Eric Giza from the USA and Dr Gordon Mackay from Scotland, who presented to the delegates the latest advances in foot and ankle surgery techniques.

Bigfoot also comprised of 6 cadaver laboratories which allowed many surgeons to gain hands on experience implementing these latest advancements in foot and ankle surgery techniques using Arthrex products. The feedback from the delegates in attendance described the practical cadaver sessions as a great educational forum, and we are confident that they will have a new found confidence in using these techniques and products in their own practices and hospitals.

After such a success, Device Technologies looks forward to teaming up with Arthrex again in 2016 for “Bigfoot 2”!!!
