Holy Name Medical Centre is leading a technological revolution in the New Jersey-New York metropolitan area, becoming the first hospital to implement digital monitoring technology for continuous tracking of patients’ vital signs.
The technology, called The ViSi Mobile, is a wrist worn device about the size of a business card that provides continuous real-time monitoring of a patient’s vital signs. Running on the hospital’s wireless network, it continuously transmits crucial information to clinicians.
According to Holy Name officials, it is the first body-worn monitor to non-invasively measure all core vital signs, including blood pressure, heart or pulse rate, electrocardiogram or heart rhythm, blood oxygenation, respiration rate and skin temperature. Read full article >
